I’m very excited to be participating in the Out to Sea nautical-themed group art show at Ink and Pistons this Saturday! We are so happy to share this drop dead gorgeous guest art by the incredibly talented C. A. Morgan of The Dracko Universe Graphic Novel. This is absolutely how I imagine Crimson would look like, if only she was a real girl instead of an adorable cartoon.

In other news, Free Comic Book Day was quite a success! We’d like to thank everybody who picked up a free copy of the prologue at Tate’s Comics and The Trouble with Girls All-Female Art Revue. We gave away our entire stash, but we reserved a handful of signed copies still for sale at our online store. Order yours now, before they’re all gone!

We’ll be back in a few weeks with Issue 3: Terrible Things. In the meantime, we’re still looking for guest comics. Send us your art for a chance to see you or your character make a cameo in the next issue.

So concludes issue 2! Thank you for joining us on this adventure. We launched this comic with the prologue more than a year ago, and we’ve got good news if you’ll be in South Florida during Free Comic Comic Book Day on May 4! We’ll be giving away the prologue issue at Tate’s Comics, my favorite comic book store of all time. I can’t even describe how excited and grateful we are for the opportunity to share this crazy comic with everybody.

Curious as to what Crimson just read on-screen? We’ve posted it to our Facebook page. Check it out, and give us a like, if you’re so inclined.

We’ll be taking a few weeks off of the main story line to work on a few website updates and prepare to launch issue 3. But worry not, we’ve got some fabulous guest comics in store for you and we’ll be posting art and other assorted spoilers regularly. We’re still looking for more guest comics, so if you’d like the chance to have you or your character make an appearance in a future issue, send us some art!

We’ve thought a lot about how the dual existence between Serena and Crimson would work out. I always imagined how frustrating it would be for Crimson, trapped, silent, no control over any aspect of her life. A prisoner. I’m not sure that’s changed. If someone else can wake up and take over, is she free?

Can you believe we’re already on page 20? Which means issue 2 is almost finished! We will be taking a few weeks off before launching issue 3 to build up a little buffer and work on the website, which will soon feature a fabulous character page and section detailing the story so far for new readers. Is there anything specific you think we should add?

In the meantime, check out our new TV Tropes page! Please feel free to add any tropes you think are relevant. If you’ve never been on the site before, prepare to lose many hours discovering the prevailing themes, plots, and character archetypes common across all media.
